Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday passed by-election tests with flying colors in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Gujarat. AAP Candidate Sanjeev Arora won the Ludhiana West By-election by a margin of 10,637 votes. As a result, a victory rally was carried out on Tuesday in Ludhiana, in which Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, AAP Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, and Sanjeev Arora addressed a jubilant gathering of AAP workers and supporters.

Addressing the gathering, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann took a dig at Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). CM Mann in his address said, "You gave Sanjeev Arora a bigger margin than last time. This is your decision, your power. Two parties, Congress (founded in 1885) and Akali Dal (1920), had their deposits forfeited. Now, even the public is saying: stop asking for votes, deliver results. With a lead of over 11,000 votes, Ludhiana has humbled arrogance and blessed honest politics."

Thereafter, former Delhi Deputy CM and AAP Punjab Incharge, Manish Sisodia said, "From Delhi, I was watching results with Arvind Kejriwal. Ludhiana said ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ and gifted us this win. This wasn't just a win for Sanjeev Arora or Bhagwant Mann—it was a vote for clean politics. When journalists asked me earlier if this bypoll was a semi-final, I said yes. And now that we’ve won the semi-final, it’s time to prepare for the final in 2027."

AAP Punjab President Aman Arora kept his address short and said, "After this semi-final win, there’s no looking back. In 2027, we’ll achieve a final victory with even greater support."

What did the Ludhiana West By-election winner, Sanjeev Arora, say?

Arora, in his address, said, "This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every single resident of Ludhiana West. This is your win, your city’s win. Neither anger nor arrogance worked this time—only love and accountability did. I’ve always respected you, and now you’ve given me even more respect by placing your faith in me. If this is just the trailer, then trust me—the movie will be a superhit.”
