Chief Secretary of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Kulwant Singh Manman has reacted seriously to the news regarding the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib (Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib). He stated that the entire episode could be a "political stunt."
Kulwant Singh Manhan asserted, "It is hurting to imagine an attack on the shrine of Shri Guru Ramdasji. It is a spot where millions of devotees offer obeisance on a daily basis and attain spiritual peace. By visiting here, people obtain life and receive new hope."
He added that SGPC on the news regarding this attack
does not think "We don't support this attack. This could be an agenda by which fear is being generated amongst the Sangat. But we want to assert that the Sangat reaching Shri Guru Ramdas Ji has never dwindled, nor will," said Manhan. He added that the SGPC was equally vigilant and maximum attention was being given to the security of all sides.
