Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar set for epic Box Office battle

The much-anticipated clash between Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas' Salaar promises an epic battle at the box office, with both films boasting strong advance booking numbers.

Dunki, set to be released exclusively in Hindi on December 21, made an impressive Rs 73.6 million from its opening day collection. In comparison, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages, gathered Rs 60 million from its opening day collection.

The advance sales for Dunki stand at 2,51,146 tickets sold for 9,658 shows nationwide. Meanwhile, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has 2,46,772 tickets sold across 4,338 shows.

Prabhas recently unveiled a new trailer for Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, sharing it with the caption, "Enter the violent world of Khansaar." The film, directed by KGF fame Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, is set for a grand December 22 release.

Meanwhile, SRK recently launched a song, "Banda," from Dunki, sung by Diljit Dosanjh. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles. This marks SRK's first collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani and brings SRK, Taapsee, and Vicky together for the first time on-screen.

As the release dates draw closer, the excitement escalates, promising a thrilling battle between these highly anticipated films at the box office. With Dunki directed by Rajkumar Hirani set to release on Thursday, December 21, and Salaar hitting the screens globally a day later, the clash between these two big stars over the Christmas weekend is causing a stir among exhibitors, especially single screen owners who are in a fix.
