Shahrukh who pointed gun at cop amidst Delhi violence, held by police from Bareilly

Mohammed Shahrukh, whose pictures and videos surfaced on internet for pointing gun at a Delhi Police personnel during the communal violence in the Jaffrabad-Maujpur area of northeast Delhi, has been detained now.

During the incident, Shahrukh waved gun at police personnel, threatened his life and also fired 8 rounds as rival groups were pelting stones at each other on the road. Shortly after this, Shahrukh had been on fled. 

On Tuesday, after a week, Delhi police has arrested Shahrukh from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

However, Delhi police, had earlier claimed that they managed to arrest Shahrukh within days after he was caught on camera, pointing gun at the Delhi Police officer. But, then police said he was absconding.

Now, the police has finally assured that Shahrukh is under custody.
