Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's much-awaited movie Shamshera finally hit the theaters on July 22. With an expectation that Shamshera might bring the audience back into the theaters for a Bollywood movie, Ranbir Kapoor and Vani Kapoor starrer movie do no justice at all. So, fans who were waiting to read Shamshera movie review first and then go to the theaters to have a good time with their family might feel disappointed. Veteran film critic Taran Adarsh wrote on Shamshera movie review and called it a 'big disappointment'.
Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and termed Ranbir Kapoor's much-awaited movie a major 'disappointment'. In fact, Shamshera was given only one and a half stars by the veteran film critic. On the Shamshera movie review, Taran Adarsh wrote, "Brings back memories of #ThugsOfHindostan… Even #RanbirKapoor’s star-power cannot save this ship from sinking… EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT. #ShamsheraReview (SIC)."
Ranbir Kapoor is the star of the movie or he can be said the lone ranger who carries the movie on his shoulder. Like the trailer suggested, Ranbir transforms into Robin Hood, who is the leader of the downtrodden, lower-caste tribals called Khamerans. Ruled by the British army, their clan is governed by the dreaded police officer Shuddh Singh (Sanjay Dutt), whose job is to keep these tribals under control. Wanting to free his tribe from this oppression, Shamshera plans a revolt that goes awry, resulting in the ultimate sacrifice - his death!
