Further bolstering law enforcement, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur, launched a city sealing drive across Jalandhar on Tuesday evening.
Sharing the details, CP Dhanpreet Kaur informed that the special drive was carried out on the directives of Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, focusing on ensuring public safety and strengthening the law and order in the city. Under this initiative, 30 shifting Nakas were set up at various points, with 16 gazetted officers personally monitoring these checkpoints to ensure effective enforcement.
The Commissioner of Police herself inspected several Nakas during the operation and reviewed the ongoing checking process. She directed officials on duty to take strict action against any suspected persons identified during the drive, ensuring that no compromise is made in maintaining law and order.
CP Dhanpreet Kaur further stated that this intensive city sealing drive was not only aimed at curbing criminal activities but also intended to create a sense of security among citizens while sending a strong message to anti-social elements operating in the city. She reiterated the commitment of Jalandhar Police to maintain peace and order while ensuring the safety of residents through such systematic and planned operations in the future.
