Shiromani Akali Leader Bikram Majithia Interrogation News

Shiromani Akali leader Bikram Majithia appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Monday in response to a notice issued in the drugs case seven days prior. Following seven hours of interrogation, he emerged from the Border Range Patiala office at 7 pm. Majithia stated that during the interrogation, he was asked the same questions that had been posed to him by the High Court. This marks the first instance in which the NDPS section was imposed without any recovery being made.

Majithia referenced a previous case that had been mentioned by AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, for which Kejriwal later issued an apology. Majithia alleged that the summons sent to him was a result of a personal matter involving Bhagwant Mann, insinuating that it was a politically motivated act of retribution. Following his appearance, it was revealed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Arvind Kejriwal to appear on December 21, to which Majithia expressed his readiness to accompany Kejriwal if he feels apprehensive.

Majithia also issued a warning to officials, stating that the DGP who had filed a nomination against him had been deemed unfit by the UPSC. He referenced the Ludhiana bomb blast and a security lapse during the tenure of the former DGP, indicating that action is being prepared against them. He emphasized that their fight is against the government and that ultimately, the people and God will be the ultimate arbiters.

Furthermore, Majithia raised serious allegations against a police officer who allegedly acted wrongly under the instructions of the former Chief Minister. He warned that action will be taken against any officers who act improperly under the instructions of Chief Minister Mann.
