In the latest development of Sudhir Kumar Suri’s killing, Amritsar Police Commissioner Arun Pal Singh has informed the media personnel in a press conference that the accused involved in shooting of National Leader of Shiv Sena Sudhir Kumar Suri is now under police custody.
He also stated further that a revolver has also been recovered from the arrested youth who fired bullets at the deceased while he was on protest near Gopal Mandir, Amritsar. Reportedly, the other youth involved is absconded is police are trying to search him. He has further requested every person to maintain peace in the state and not to create unrest. He also stated that media will be informed as soon as any major updates are received on the case.
Sudhir Kumar Suri was shot dead at 3:30 pm on November 4 while he was on a dharna near Gopal Mandir protesting against the idols found in the dustbin a few days back. Suddenly 2 bullets were fired at him after which he was taken to Escort Hospital and the leader died during the treatment.
