A shocking shootout shook Pinjore near Panchkula on Wednesday night, right outside Amravati Mall. A group of youngsters was sitting in their car after watching a movie when unidentified assailants suddenly opened fire. One young man, identified as Sonu Naulta from Pinjore, died on the spot. Another was seriously injured and has been rushed to PGI Chandigarh for treatment.
There were five people in the group—three women and two men. Just moments after the attack, a chilling video surfaced on social media. In it, two men, including one named Piyush Piplani, claimed they were behind the shooting. They alleged that they acted on the orders of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Panchkula DCP Srishti Gupta confirmed the death of Sonu and said that the police are verifying the video’s authenticity. A probe is underway to identify those involved and bring them to justice.
The incident has left the area on edge, with police stepping up patrols and security. Investigations are ongoing.
