Showik Chakraborty allegedly sold drugs to youngsters at Football Club in Bandra: Reports

The developments come after the Mumbai court sent alleged drug peddler Zaid Vilatra to seven-day NCB custody

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday tightened its grip in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case as it carried out raids at a number of locations here, including at the homes of Showik Chakraborty and the late actor's house manager Samuel Miranda.

The NCB took Showik and Miranda for questioning at its office after conducting searches for two hours.NCB Deputy Director K.P.S. Malhotra told the media that the homes of Showik, who is Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty's brother and that of Miranda were being searched, but declined to elaborate.

The developments come after the Mumbai court sent alleged drug peddler Zaid Vilatra to seven-day NCB custody. As per reports, another alleged drug peddler named Abdul Basit Parihar has been sent to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till 9th September.

Going by the reports of Republic media, Showik met Basit Parihar at a football club in Bandra and they soon became friends. Basit introduced him to Kaizan Ibraham, who has also been arrested by the NCB for questioning. Ibraham works as a PR executive in a restaurant. 

Abdul Basit was in touch with a prominent drug peddler named Sohail and reports said that he was the one who provided buds. Showik took Basit to parties and established his contacts whereas Kaizan supplied drugs to friends through Showik contacts.

Although the NCB is yet to trace Sohail. Going by the reports of Republic, Showik and gang tried to sell buds at the football club where youngsters would come to play. They said that Showik, Basit, Zaid, Kaizan, Karan and Abbas were dealing with curated marijuana or bud.
