After Shubman Gill, another Indian tests positive for dengue; to miss Ind vs Pak WC 2023 match

While entire Indian fans are praying for Shubman Gill's speedy recovery so that he can participate in the important India vs Pakistan World Cup 2023 match in Ahmedabad, another Indian has tested positive for dengue. India vs Pakistan 2023 World Cup match will take place on October 14, 2023, at the Narendra Modi stadium and multiple prominent personalities including Rajnikanth, Sachin Tendulkar and more are likely to attend the event. However, Indian Team management is going through worries over Shubman Gill's health. 

 

Apart from Shubman Gill, Indian commentator & presenter Harsha Bhogle on Thursday took to his official X handle and informed that he has tested positive for dengue.  Bhogle further informed that he will be missing Ind vs Pak WC 2023 match due to his declining health. Below is what Harsha Bhogle wrote- 

 

"I am disappointed at having to miss out on #IndiavsPak on the 14th. But I have dengue and the resultant weakness, and lowered immunity, will make it impossible. I am hoping to be back in time for the game on the 19th. My colleagues, and the broadcast crew, have been very helpful (and took on the extra workload during the second half of #IndiaVsAus ) and I look forward to saying thank you to them in person."

 

Shubamn Gill's health update

 

Talking about Shubman Gill, the 24-year-old cricketer arrived in Ahmedabad on October 12th, 2023. Shubman Gill was admitted io Chennai's hospital as a precautionary measure as his health declined due to his recent recovery from dengue fever. Shubman who is the highest run-getter for India in the ODIs for the past 1 year missed the first two matches of the Cricket World Cup 2023. It is worth mentioning that Gill's participation in the match remains uncertain due to his recent health issues.
