The Punjab government has provided security personnel to Harsimran Singh Sandhu, a close friend of Sidhu Moosewala. As per reports, six security personnel have been deployed outside Sandhu’s residence. Sandhu had filed a petition in the High Court in 2022 asking for security, saying that he too was receiving threats from Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi.
The Punjab Government, in its reply to the petition filed in the High Court, said that Sandhu's life is in danger. Currently, six security personnel have been deployed for his security and Sandhu's threat to life is still being assessed.
Sandhu has also been the Assistant Advocate General of Punjab.
Harsimran Sandhu has also been the Assistant Advocate General of Punjab. Sandhu had filed a petition in the High Court in 2022, the day Sidhu Moosewala was murdered, demanding security and saying that he too needs protection from Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi. Sidhu had been shot dead in a ‘drive-by’ by unknown assailants in village Jawharke in Mansa on May 29, 2022. Bishnoi and Brar had taken responsibility for the shooting.
