Punjabi singer B Praak on late Saturday night narrated the horrific Jagran stage collapse in Delhi's famous Kalkaji temple. On Saturday night, one woman died, and at least 17 were injured after a platform, made of wood and iron frame, at a Mata Jagran in Delhi's famous Kalkaji temple collapsed. As per reports, the jagran stage was created near the main stage for seating the families of organisers and VIPs. At about 12.30 am, several devotees climbed onto the stage when hymns were being sung. This led to the stage collapsing as it could not bear the weight of the crowd. Notably, Punjabi Singer B Praak was among the prominent people who were present during the incident. Praak revealed that he was singing when the shocking incident took place.

B Praak shared his video on his Instagram handle and said, "I am deeply disappointed and hurt. For the first time, I saw such an incident happening in front of me. I was singing at Kalkaji temple. Whatever has happened it is very sad. Whosoever is hurt, I hope they are fine. I will say that Management is very important in such an incident. Management tried to make the people present there understand. We have to be careful from now on. Nothing is more important than life. We have to now take care of all these things. I will come back when the Goddess wishes me back."

As per reports, no permission was granted for holding the event. Around 1,500-1,600, devotees had gathered to attend the jagrata (overnight awakening) of Goddess Durga, a Hindu ritual comprising all-night vigils, songs, dances and worship for the veneration of the deity, in the temple's Mahant Parisar. It is pertinent to mention here that Temple's priest, Sunil Sunny was quoted saying that the stampede-like situation arose after singer B Praak arrived.
