Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia meets Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks Delhi's share in central taxes

On Friday, Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and asked for Delhi's share in central taxes.

Sisodia said it would help speed up cleaning the Yamuna and make arrangements for sufficient electricity and water supply in the city.

Manish Sisodia, also looks after the finance portfolio in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took the matter onto Twitter and said since 2001 Delhi has not been given any share in central taxes.

In the meeting, deputy CM also sought funds for all the three municipal corporations in Delhi, the same way as Centre gives money to civic bodies in other states.
