Mohali, 20 January: Six laning project of Green FieldNational Highway from IT City Junction to Kharar-Kurali-Chandigarh sooncommences amidst continuous efforts by MP and former Union Minister ManishTewari for the development of Lok Sabha constituency, whose detailed projectreport is being prepared.
In a statement issued here, MP Tewari said that in hisletter to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, he had toldabout the importance of this project in view of public problems, in response towhich the Union Minister has written that IT City The detailed project reportof the 31.190 km long Greenfield National Highway going from Junction toKharar-Kurali-Chandigarh is being prepared by DPR Consultant.
Similarly, DPR is being prepared for the development ofthe section of National Highway from IT City Junction to Tepla.
The Union Minister has also revealed that he has alreadyhad a high-level meeting with the Punjab government regarding highway developmentprojects with the Trinity.
Significantly, efforts are being made by MP Tewari forthe development of the Lok Sabha constituency under which the elevated roadpassing through Kharar was also started.
