Green Sky Video: In South Dakota, America, a strange sight has been seen in the sky in the past. The people here were astonished when they saw a green sky instead of a blue. According to the National Weather Services of America, such a storm was caused by Derecho due to which the speed of the winds was beyond imagination.

South Dakota, an important state of America which is often in the news due to its increasing population, was in the news on Tuesday due to a strange incident. Often you must have seen and heard the blue sky, but when the sky turned green here, people's eyes were torn apart. 

The phenomenon was observed in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where the sky turned bright green. After this, many changes in the weather were observed in the southeastern part of the state. After the green skies, there was a strong storm here and then it rained. According to the National Weather Services, changes are being seen in the weather due to the Derecho storm in the state.

Winds gusted up to 160 kmph in some areas of the state and power outages were seen at many places. The green colour of the sky before the Derecho storm is being termed an extraordinary phenomenon. The incident was also captured on the camera of the South Dakota Traffic Department. The pictures of this incident are becoming increasingly viral on social media. 

Meteorologist Peter Rogers said that the storm got people's attention because the sky had turned green and this colour is also very special in itself. He said that this green colour of the sky will remain a matter of discussion in the coming days as well.

Rogers said that the colour of the sky changes unusually during a storm. The colour depends on how sunlight behaves and how different elements are scattered in the atmosphere. This is very extraordinary. Sometimes the colour of the sky can be purple and sometimes completely black.

The green colour of the sky amid heavy rain or during a storm indicates that hail may also fall after some time. But every time the colour of the sky will tell the changes in the weather, it is not possible. Conditions have become difficult at many places after winds gusting up to 160 kmph for about 45 minutes. Rogers said that when the winds are very strong, it is a sign of a weakening the storm.
