Islamabad Airport’s authorities have decided to appoint sniffer dogs to identify coronavirus-infected travelers coming to Pakistan’s capital city, as per the media reports. 

Senior airport staff told the media that a well-trained group of sniffer dogs will be brought in to detect the virus by smelling the odor generated by the infected person. 

He added that the dogs would be the second screening tool for the detection of coronavirus infection.

The experts have once visited the airport and have selected the location to deploy sniffer dogs. 

Now, Health authorities and Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) have been detected the virus through thermal screening and rapid antigen test at the Islamabad airport. 

Islamabad reported 244 new coronavirus cases and 2 people lost their lives, whereas the state reported 2,517 fresh covid-19 cases and 48 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours.
