Parents leave no stone unturned to raise their children despite the hardships they have to face. They always hope that their children will look after them when they will grow old. But, a tragic incident has come to light from Gurdaspur's Harchowal village where a son brutally thrashed his father over the property dispute.
Notably, this incident was captured in the CCTV which displays how an elderly man is being beaten by his son and grandsons.
The victim has been identified as Avtar Singh who is a retired Subedar and is survived by three sons and two daughters. Presently, Avtar Singh is residing with his youngest son in the village. However, his eldest sons also live in the same house, who brutally thrashed their father over the property row.
Meanwhile, the victim Avtar Singh has lodged a complaint with the police but no action has yet been taken by them. Surviving under pressure and trauma, Avtar Singh also tried to die by suicide.

On the other hand, when police cognized the matter they tried to ask the victim's elder sons about the incident but they refuted all the allegations against them. The accused also alleged that the CCTV footage has been misrepresented.
On October 14, police called both the parties to solve the conflict but a tiff broke out between them again. Police has lodged the complaint and further investigation is underway.
