Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna had to go through social media rage especially of women after his remarks on women sparked row. In one of his videos, Mukesh Khanna said, "Aurat ka kaam hai ghar sambhalna (The job of a woman is to take care of the house). Problem kahaan se shuru hue hai #MeToo ki jab auraton ne bhi kaam karna shuru kar diya (The problem of #MeToo began when women started working). Aaj aurat mard ke saath kandhey se kandha milane ke baat karti hai (Today, women talk about walking shoulder-to-shoulder with men)."
This remark fumed social media especially women. Now, Bollywood singer Sona Mohapatra has slammed the veteran actor and called him 'tacky dumb witted person'. Sona took to Twitter and wrote, "yea, cus men never ever molested or assaulted women & children inside homes according to this fellow who is best ignored. Tacky mandhbudhi.The sad truth is there are enough & more such regressive mindsets around us everywhere? We soldier on. Change is slow but is coming."
"According to this other moron-the only reason women seek equal opportunities,work is for ‘money & have affairs’, instead they would ‘serve’ mankind better by sacrificing their chance to be independent or achieve their own potential, cus that is something only men should do," she added.
