Sonali Phogat a much celebrated Haryanvi star turned politician died of a heart attack Monday night. She was in Goa for a project, the industry and political diaspora in her association is taken aback by the sudden demise of the actor.

Sonali Phogat was well cherished among her peers and had enjoyed a band of varied cultures and workspace but how and when all this did start, a look at the actor’s life from struggle to the pinnacle of success.

Sonali Phogat Early Life:

Sonali was born in a middle-class household in Bhuthan village of Haryana on September 21st, 1979. Born Sonali Singh the actor took up the title Phogat as she proceeded over the due period of time in her career with the same stage name.

Upon the completion of her early schooling with Pioneer Convent School in Fatehabad. Sonali attended her Bachelor’s program at Maharishi Dayanand University in Haryana.

Sonali’s first major career breakthrough in the industry was marked as an anchor on the Doordarshan Channel in 2006. While pursuing her T.V career Sonali joined BJP’s working committee.

Years after serving in the division Sonali left and switched to T.V serials where she got the opportunity of working alongside Ravi Kishan and Jimmy Shergill.

Besides appearing in several Haryanvi music videos Sonali appeared in a Zee T.V series in 2016 "Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma," which starred Aman Yatan Verma and Urvashi Sharma, she made her acting debut as Fatima.

The star made her filming debut in 2019 with the Haryanvi drama film “Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti”, directed by Rajesh Amarlal Babbar.

One of the finest recognized roles of Sonali’s career came with the Haryanvi film "Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti"(2019). Sonali appeared in one of the web series released in 2019, “The Story of Badmashgarh” directed by Ameet Choudhary.

The biggest fame in her career came in with the media announcement of her induction into the Bigg Boss season 14 as a wild card entrant.

Sonali Phogat’s Political Journey:

Sonali kicked off her political journey with the saffron party in 2008. Working as a small party worker Sonali discharged all sorts of responsibilities given to her and made a mark in recognizing herself among the BJP unit of state and center.

With the due passage of time, Sonali with her dedication to the party’s ethics was elevated to the national vice president of BJP Mahila Morcha.

Sonali’s major political responsibility came in when she was appointed as the party’s assembly candidate from the Adampur constituency in the 2019 Haryana legislative elections to which she lost against Kuldeep Bishnoi of Congress.

Sonali Phogat’s Controversies:

The actor-turned-politician had been linked to a couple of personal and professional life controversies. The biggest of all came when she smacked a market committee official over a matter with slippers the video of which went viral at the peak of COVID’s first wave in 2020.

She was also linked to the matter of filing cases against family members on family-related matters.

The story doesn’t end here the actor in a Facebook live used derogatory terms for the Scheduled Caste society of the country and was heavily trolled then.
