In a disturbing development, Sonam Tiwari, the younger daughter-in-law of the well-known Tiwari family associated with the plywood business, went missing on Saturday night. Sonam Tiwari is the wife of Mandeep (Mickey) Tiwari and the daughter-in-law of businessman Naresh Tiwari.
As per reports, Sonam went missing around 9:30 PM on Saturday night, after reportedly walking away from her car near the Beas bridge. She was accompanied by a friend who came from Canada. It has been revealed further that Sonam asked her friend to stay in the car while she stepped out. When she didn’t return, the friend alerted the family in Jalandhar.

As per reports, on Sunday, divers and specialized search teams combed areas around Harike Pattan and the Beas river throughout the day, but no trace of Sonam Tiwari has been found so far. Prominent people of Jalandhar city met the family members. Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal, MLA Bawa Henry, AAP's Jalandhar Central Haka In-charge Nitin Kohli, Gymkhana Club secretary Sandeep Bahl, and many other members visited the Tiwari family's residence in Vasant Avenue.
