South actress Shweta Kumari sent to 14-day judicial custody after NCB arrests her with drugs

Shweta was caught in a raid by the NCB officials from a tip-off at Crown Business Hotel situated at Mira-Bhayander area

A Mumbai court on Thursday sent Shweta Kumari to 14-day judicial custody. The NCB had arrested her on January 4 in connection with the seizure of 400 grams of Mephedrone (MD) on January 2.

Shweta was caught in a raid by the NCB officials from a tip-off at Crown Business Hotel situated at Mira-Bhayander area. Post the operation, the 27-year-old actress who is a resident of Hyderabad was taken into custody.

Team of Zonal Director of NCB Sameer Wankhede had received secret information that a large consignment of drugs was going to come inside the city. After that, different teams conducted raid in Bandra, Versova, Mira Road late on Saturday night. The first raid was done Bandra area. A paddler was to arrive here to supply a consignment of an MD drug. The NCB caught a drug peddler named Chand Mohammed red-handed with 400 grams of MD drugs.
