After a successful theatrical run, Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe is topping Netflix's trending charts in India. The movie made its way to the OTT platform just 20 days after its release, November 4.

The beginning portions of Annaatthe are straight out of enjoyable Rajini films from the 90s. The actor, playing Kaalayan aka Annaatthe, is a sprightly presence and found engaging in playful banter, along with the ever-dependable Soori as his sidekick.

The film stars Rajinikanth, Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara in the main lead roles while Jagapathi Babu, Abhimanyu Singh and Soori are in supporting roles. The music for the film is composed by D. Imman while cinematography and editing are performed by Vetri and Ruben respectively.

The film revolves around the relationship of Kaalaiyan (Rajinikanth), a village president and his sibling, Thanga Meenatchi (Keerthy). Despite the film receiving negative reviews from critics, it was a commercial success grossing 239 crores becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil films.

In Annaatthe, Siruthai Siva introduces two villains, Manoj Palekar (Abhimanyu Singh) and Uddhav Palekar (Jagapathi Babu), who have fewer screen time to make any kind of impact.

Netflix in its Instagram post wrote, “#Annaatthe, now streams on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.”

The South megastars recently released film ‘Annaatthe’ is a great work done by him. Rajni’s fans purely watch his films to enjoy their time and cherish the charisma brought by him on the silver screen. He is an asset to the Tollywood industry.
