A look at what Spiderman: Across the Spider-verse has in store for fans

Spiderman Animated Hollywood-News-Today

The latest trailer for Spiderman: Across the spider-verse has reached fans and they are more excited than ever. The second movie in the hit animated franchise is a continuation to the story of Miles Morales, the first black character to play the role of spiderman, albeit in an animated series. The first movie was seen as a great success and was hailed for being a departure from the traditional characters and story arc of spiderman.

Although there are subtle differences, the essence of the movie stays true to the spiderman fans adore, which made the character of Miles Morales even more endearing. In the sequel Miles is said to be exploring more of the spider-verse and finding out that a group of spider people have built a collaborating group. While the final details of the plot will only be made apparent when the movie releases, the trailer has made it clear that the characters of Gwen and Peter Parker will be reprised while new characters will take on the antagonistic roles.

With out presuming too much about the plot of the movie one can safely assume that we will get to see what happens when spiderman is pitted against spiderman. An age-old question that both casual and die-hard fans would love to see answered. There are also references to the famous spiderman meme where 3 versions of spiderman are seen pointing at each other.

In this case though the movie does that on a much larger scale, all the while harking back to the pop culture reference, we all know too well. On a more serious note, the trailer also hints at a different take on the emotional aspects of the spiderman story that make it a cult classic. Reassessing what it means to be spiderman and the sacrifices made in the process. All in all, the movie promises to be one to look out for, with elements that would appeal to children and adults, casual viewers and fans alike.
