
Covid-19 cases are picking up a worrying trend in fivestates- Punjab, Maharashtra, Kerala, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Thecountry’s active caseload , however has fallen below 1.50 lakh. It still stands at worryingtrend of 1,47,306 as per data available till February 23.
Travellers from above mentioned states now need anegative certificate of Covid-19 to enter Delhi from February 26 to March 15.
As per reports, the people will now need negative RT-PCRreport from February 25. Especially those travelling by air will have toproduce negative Covid-19 report in many states.
More than 74% of cases are from Kerala and Maharashtra. Accordingto data provided by health ministry on February 23, first dose of the vaccinehas been administered to 1,27,528 people while 20,538 people have got thesecond dose in Punjab. It takes the total number of doses to 1,48,066.
84% of the new cases arefrom 6 States.
Maharashtra continues to report the highest daily newcases at 5,210. It is followed by Kerala with 2,212 while Tamil Nadu reported449 new cases and Punjab reported 388 cases.
