Another shocking news has come to light in Amritsar. A well-known school in the city received a bomb threat through an Instagram Post on 12th September 2022. This thread has come just four days after another similar incident took place in the same city. In the previous news 9th class, students threatened to blow up the school and now the Spring Dale School of Amritsar has received the same message.
The message that has gone viral is in the form of a WhatsApp chat. A message can be seen written in English while some lines have also been written in Urdu. The school was threatened that it will be blown up on the same day when the plantation drive will take place in the school i.e. 16th September.
Post the message was received, the school authorities informed the cyber cell of the Amritsar Police. The police have tightened the security of the school to prevent any mishappening.
As soon as the cyber cell was informed about the same, the investigation to trace the origin of the message started and after a struggle of almost 6 hours the cyber cell was finally able to trace the students who sent up the post. Both the culprits were class 10th students and the SIM through which it was sent was registered in the name of their fathers. Due to this, a complaint has been lodged and the fathers of both the students have been arrested.
Varinder Singh Khosa, ACP North has informed that the culprits are the residents of Sant Avenue and Suraj Enclave and did this just to get the exams canceled. He further added that a case has been registered under the section for spreading false rumors.
