Even before it was released, SS Rajamouli's RRR made history. The period drama, starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt, and starring Ajay Devgn, has set new records in the Indian market with a pre-release business of Rs 900 crore. It has shattered the previous record holder, Bahubali 2, by nearly 100 percent.

The 2017 SS Rajamouli epic, starring Prabhas, had a pre-release business of over Rs 500 crore, which was an all-time high at the time. Since then, no film has come close, and it has taken another SS Rajamouli film to shatter that record, and by a massive margin.

RRR's worldwide theatrical rights have been valued at Rs 570 crore, with Andhra Pradesh taking the top spot, followed by North India, Nizam, Overseas, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. The AP and Nizam have fetched a total of Rs 240 crore, with North Indian theatrical rights fetching Rs 140 crore.Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, on the other hand, have paid Rs 48 crore, Rs 45 crore, and Rs 15 crore, respectively. All languages' overseas rights have been sold for a total of Rs 70 crore.

RRR's digital rights (all languages) were sold for approximately Rs 170 crore, while satellite rights were sold for approximately Rs 130 crore. The music, on the other hand, has a market value of Rs 20 crore. All of RRR's rights have now been secured, and the pre-release total business of this SS Rajamouli period drama is estimated to be around Rs 900 crore. This saga's estimated budget, which is gearing up for a Dussehra release, is in the range of Rs 350 crore, implying that the producers have entailed a table profit in excess of Rs 500 crore. The film is now under pressure to live up to expectations and gross more than Bahubali on almost all circuits in order to be a profitable venture for the distributors who have paid for it.

The film has set a new record that may not be broken by any other film in the coming years, and it may take another SS Rajamouli film to shatter the pre-set records in terms of business prior to release. It will be interesting to see how the film performs at the box office and what the revenues are for the stakeholders, as the fig
ures are astronomical and are critical to the film's success.
