State-level orientation workshop of Smart School Mentors held

The Education Department organised a state level orientation workshop of District Smart School Mentors (DSMs), Assistant Coordinators (ACs) at Government Senior Secondary School (boys), Dakha on Tuesday. The Block Nodal Officers and Block Primary Education Officers of Ludhiana district also attended the workshop, which was presided over by the District Education Officer, Ludhiana, Rajinder Kaur.

Assistant Director, SCERT,  Salinder Singh, while lauding the dedicated efforts of the DSMs and ACs in translating the vision of the Punjab Education Department to convert government schools into Smart Schools by ensuring extension and augmentation of infrastructural facilities, at the ground zero level during the past more than three years, exhorted them to ensure judicious and transparent utilisation of the abundant grants disbursed to schools for various development purposes so that the qualitative improvement in school education could be strengthened.

Manju Bhardwaj, DSM, Ludhiana gave valuable tips to the DSMs, ACs, BNOs , through her power point presentation regarding proper and objective identification of requirements, allocation as well as monitoring of utilisation of funds in schools falling under their respective jurisdiction.

The DSMs and ACs of different districts also exhibited their power point presentations and shared the progress report as well as the innovative practices adopted for spearheading Smart School Drive in their respective districts so that the same could be replicated in other districts too.
