Ever since the AIIMS panel head, Dr. Sudhir Gupta unofficially declared Sushant's death as a suicide and ruled out the murder angle, Mumbai Police Commissioner morale got boosted. In an interaction with the media, Param Bir Singh on the AIIMS report said, "We are not at all surprised by this. It was the finding of the team of Cooper Hospital as well. All those who criticized our investigation without any information, going to different channels, and making comments, I challenge them to reveal what they know as the probe was entirely confidential. It was all about vested interests & a motivated campaign."

"Our investigation was never transferred to the CBI. It was the Bihar Police investigation which was transferred to the CBI. Our investigation is still continuing. The honorable Supreme Court was satisfied with our probe," he added.

Now, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has slammed the Mumbai Police Commissioner. Swamy in an interaction. Swamy raised some questions on the Mumbai Police Commissioner and asked, "If the probe is continuing in Sushant Singh Rajput's case then why not even a single FIR has been lodged? How the Mumbai Police announced Sushant's death as suicide without getting any suicide note?"

"Section 154 of the CrPC says that if any offense committed (suicide is no offense) is brought to the knowledge of the Police, it is compulsory for the POlice to register an FIR and then start the investigation. But there is no FIR even today by the Mumbai Police side. They are saying they are continuing the investigation but there is no FIR," added Swamy.

Swamy also said, "In the autopsy, we don't know what they did. There was an enormous delay when they went for his viscera and if there would have any poison inside then by that time it would be dejected. And everybody knows if you get the body the only you can tell whether he was poisoned, whether he was killed. The AIIMS team didn't have the body, they didn't have the viscera, they had reports of viscera conducted by Cooper Hospital. Sushant's body was not kept in refrigeration and the body kept quite casually. So, AIIMS did not have the body to make original research."
