Subsidies to continue as such in FY 2022-23; No decision regarding free 300 units of electricity

Power tariff and subsidies to continue as such in FY 2022-23 for all categories of consumers of Punjab

Power tariff and subsidies as existing on 31/03/2022 to all consumers are being continued as such in the current year from 01/04/2022 onwards. The tariff order for FY 2022-23 has been issued by Hon'ble Punjab State Regulatory Commission vide order dt. 31.03.2022. There is no increase in tariff of any of the Consumer Categories for FY 2022-23. 

The subsidies which are already being provided to various consumer categories including reduction of tariff by Rs 3 per unit  for domestic  consumers having sanctioned load up to 7 KW, are also continued. Electricity bills are being issued as above. Electricity consumers need not be misinformed by hearsay.

As per present policy of government of Punjab , the  consumers of PSPCL are being provided following Subsidies/Concessions:-

a) Overall Subsidized rate of Rs.4.99/kWh with GoP Subsidy to SP Category Industrial Consumers

b.) Subsidized variable rate of Rs.5.00/kVAh with GoP subsidy and 50% Fixed Charges to MS Category Industrial Consumers

 c.) Subsidized variable rate of Rs.5.00/kVAh with GoP subsidy and Fixed Charges to LS Category Industrial Consumers.

d.) . Overall Subsidized rate of Rs.4.99/kVAh with GoP Subsidy to Industrial Consumers who applied through Punjab Beureu of Investment Promotion and fulfilled the conditions applicable.

e.) Tariff of  Domestic Category Consumers having Sanctioned load upto 7KW have been reduced by Rs. 3 per unit.

f). Free 300 units per month to Freedom Fighter and their successors/grandchildren having load upto 1KW.

g.)  Totally Free Supply to Agricultural Consumers

h.)  Free 200 units per month to SC, BC, NON SC BPL Consumers having load upto 1KW.
