Uttar Pradesh is now under Sunday lockdown under orders from Yogi Adityanath government in which all non-essential movement and transportation is prohibited.
To encourage people to cooperate, fines have been authorised.
The fine is Rs 1,000 for first-time violation of not wearing a mask, and Rs 10,000 for next violation.
