
In a pursuit to keep the people of Surat stay at home, Surat cops on Sunday wore coronavirus-themed uniforms and urged citizens to stay at home and practice social distancing during the pandemic.
Cops in the Mahuva taluka in Surat were seen wearing corona helmets and carried corona-themed lathis as well. Speaking of their outfits, a policeman said, "We have done this to spread awareness among people. We are trying to reach out to as many places as possible to make people aware of the situation."
Gujarat, as of April 6, recorded over 120 novel coronavirus cases while 12 people have died due to COVID-19 in the state.
