Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has been asking for closure, and demanding a thorough investigation into the death of her brother. She is a resident of US currently in India to promote her book, ‘Pain: A Portal to Enlightenment’, in which she has dedicated a section to Sushant. In conversation with Instant Bollywood, she emphasized the importance of understanding what transpired with her beloved brother and urged the CBI to conduct a thorough investigation into his death.

Shweta accompanied by her elder sister Rani Di, visited the Kanyakumari Temple and visited Sushant’s apartment in Mount Blanc, where a crowd gathered chanting slogans for justice. Shweta had recently took to Instagram to commemorate her brother on his birth anniversary. Sharing a montage, she wrote, “Happy birthday to My Sona Sa Bhai, Love you forever… infinity to the power of infinity. Hope you live in a million hearts and motivate them to do and be good…”

In her book, she revealed that despite Sushant’s busy schedule which prevented him from visiting her, she would travel to India every year from 2014 to 2017. Unfortunately, she couldn’t visit in 2018 and 2019, although she did make a special trip in January 2020 “especially to meet him”, but due to unforeseen circumstances, their meeting could not happen. She had also called Sushant to invite him to the US just 4 days before his untimely demise on June 14, 2020.

She also revealed that her husband had told her about Sushant’s tragic death on the night of June 13. The news sent a chill down her spine but she didn’t scream or cry, instead relying on her coping mechanisms to navigate through the difficult moment, she explained. Sushant was found dead at his residence on June 14, 2020, allegedly by suicide. But the CBI has been diligently investigating the case since then.
