Aam Aadmi Party Leader Sushil Rinku on Thursday formally took oath as the Member of Parliament of Jalandhar constituency in the Lok Sabha. On Thursday, the monsoon session started and Sushil Rinku greeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi before taking oath as Jalandhar MP in the Lok Sabha. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann took to his Twitter handle and shared a video on his Twitter handle in which Sushil Rinku was seen taking oath in the Lok Sabha during the starting day of the Monsoon session 2023. CM Mann congratulated Sushil Rinku on his Twitter handle and the people of Jalandhar.

Sushil Rinku talking exclusively to True Scoop News two days back, stated that he will raise the issues of Punjab, Jalandhar in particular. Jalandhar MP Rinku further informed that he will discuss the pending development projects of Punjab and also raise the flood issue that the state has witnessed in the parliament. Not only this, Jalandhar MP Rinku promised that he will carry out his work with the utmost dedication for the people of Jalandhar & Punjab. Sushil Rinku recently grabbed headlines after he was snapped and filmed working hand-in-hand with the rescue team to evacuate families in the flood-hit areas. Not only this, MP Sushil Rinku was spotted lifting sand sacks on his shoulders and helping the workers who were bolstering the dams.

For those who are unaware, Sushil Rinku won the Jalandhar Byelection 2023 and broke the Congress' stronghold. Congress which had not lost Jalandhar constituency since 1999, finally lost in 2023 to AAP's Suhsil Rinku. Sushil Rinku secured a total of 302279 votes as per the Election Commission and due to which AAP's percentage of votes was 34.05. The voting for the Jalandhar Byelection 2023 took place on May 10, with a total voter turnout of 54.70 percent.
