After a grand success outing on the web space with ‘Aarya’ actor Sushmita Sen is all set to make her return to the OTT arena a much more intriguing and challenging role.
In her upcoming web series, Sushmita is playing a transgender which will be directed by Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav. Aarya star is portraying a well-recognized trans activist Gauri Sawant. The series will have a total of 6 episodes which will present various phases of Gauri’s life.
The web series will also present the story of how Gauri became the country’s first transgender who had the honor of becoming a mother.
Equally to the magnitude of excitement around the character and the inspirational life story of Gauri, Sushmita is equally excited about the project.
As per several reports, Sushmita is looking to work on a new role away from her Aarya’s character which is perfectly found in this role.
The story is based on an extraordinary transgender and so will be the depiction of the character in the upcoming web series. Gauri Sawant’s life had been extremely painful and goes through a series of tough times when she attempts to adopt a girl child against society’s will.
If reports are to be believed Sushmita is likely to complete her show’s shoot by November. The title of this web series is still not revealed by the makers. On the work front, Sushmita is quite occupied as she will hit the shoot for Aarya Season 3.
Apart from this Sushmita will also be seen in Bangla No. 84 which is being directed by Mansi Bagla.
