Suspected Militants on Sunday fired upon patrolling party of 50 RR in South Kashmir

As forces zeroed the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

 Jammu and Kashmir, (Sofi Jahangir): Suspected Militants on sunday fired upon patrolling party of 50 RR in South Kashmir, Parigam area of Pulwama district, Area under Corden.

Let us tell you that, on 7th september, a gunfight has started between security forces and militants in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. 

As per the information acquired from the sources, the encounter is underway in Ganai Mohalla, area of Kawoosa Magam, Srinagar in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday late afternoon.

CASO was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area by Army's 2 RR Gagerpora, SOG Budgam, and Jammu and Kashmir police Magam in the area. 

As forces zeroed the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

Official sources said that the contact with the militants has been established and the gunfight is underway. 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped.
