Apart from its unique storyline and acting, Swarm's unique starcast include Dominique Fishback leading the series as the obsessed fan, Dre. Interestingly, Swarm is also the debut series for Grammy Award-winning singer Billie Elish. Cutting long things short, Swarm has been breaking the internet due to a particular scene involving Rory Culkin. Rory Culkin's full-frontal naked scene has gone viral on social media. Now, it has been revealed that Rory Culkin's naked scene is actually a true story. Now, the question arise how?

Is Rory Culkin's naked scene in Swarm a true story?

The answer is yes. While speaking to Insider, creator and series writer Nabers revealed the scene was inspired by her co-creator, Donald Glover's real-life hook-up story. 'Donald told this very funny story about a girl who he really liked, and how after they hooked [up], he was standing there with a bowl of cherries, just being like, 'Hey,'" she recalled. Janine explained that Glover continued his story, saying, 'She was like, so not into it, because it's so weird to hook up with a guy that you barely know and then wake up with him holding a bowl of cherries.'

The awkward tension of the true story was the kind of comedic relief Nabers was looking to add to the show. As per reports, after listening to the real hook-up story, Nabers informed Glover she would 'steal' his account and apply it to Culkin's character in a one-night stand with the lead character Dre, played by Dominique Fishback. In the very first episode Fishback's character is seen making her way to a nightclub and dancing provocatively with Culkin's unnamed character, before the pair are seen kissing by a staircase. The next morning, she wakes up to her one-night stand in his birthday suit, holding a clear bowl of strawberries next to his privates, just as Glover had done in real life.

Swarm Storyline

As revealed by Glover, Swarm revolves around a Beyoncé-type figure and an obsessed fan. Already, the series is looking to present some fierce commentary about fan culture and parasocial relationships between fans and celebrities. Given the fact that Beyoncé and other popular music artists are known to have very dedicated fan bases erring on the side of possessiveness, it sets up a fascinating story for Swarm that explores this culture.
