India biggest music record label and film production company reaches a millstone of 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Bollywood music on being the major leading content provider leads T-Series to the millstone.

T-Series was founded by the late Bollywood movie producer Gulshan Kumar in 1983 and is now globally the most viewed and subscribed You Tube channel. Last week on May 29, 2019 YouTube has congratulated T-Series on their achievement.

The growing audiences outside of India for Bollywood stand as a key factor for such an achievement. The New York Times in 2018 shared that “just less than half of T-Series traffic comes from India, with 12% coming from the United States.”  T-Series primarily hosts music videos and film trailers in Hind and also includes English, Spanish and Portuguese.
