India’s biggest music record label and film production company reaches a millstone of 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Bollywood music on being the major leading content provider leads T-Series to the millstone.
T-Series was founded by the late Bollywood movie producer Gulshan Kumar in 1983 and is now globally the most viewed and subscribed You Tube channel. Last week on May 29, 2019 YouTube has congratulated T-Series on their achievement.
The growing audiences outside of India for Bollywood stand as a key factor for such an achievement. The New York Times in 2018 shared that “just less than half of T-Series traffic comes from India, with 12% coming from the United States.” T-Series primarily hosts music videos and film trailers in Hind and also includes English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Less than a year ago T-Series hit 50 million subscribers and now it reached 100 million which is massive as the company had began operating on YouTube since 2010. T-Series also beats the YouTuber Felxi PewDiePie Kjellberg.
Apart from Bollywood T-Series also collaborated with some big international stars like Pitbull, M.I.A. and Akon. India’s biggest international stars like Priyanka Chopra and A.R. Rahman have worked with the company which add on the fame to the channel.
