Peyush, the co-founder of Lenskart, stood in front of his co-panelists and asked for Rs 1 crore in exchange for 1% stock, according to a new promo video published on Instagram by Sony Entertainment Television.

As the last week of Shark Tank India approaches, investor Peyush Bansal, who plays one of the sharks on the reality show, reprised the pitch he presented for his company in 2010. The other sharks will most likely take turns pitching their businesses to each other as well.
Peyush, the co-founder of Lenskart, stood in front of his co-panelists and asked for Rs 1 crore in exchange for 1% stock, according to a new promo video published on Instagram by Sony Entertainment Television.

He said, “Main hoon Peyush Bansal. Main hoon co-founder and CEO Lenskart ka. Meri aapse ask hai Rs 1 crore, 1 % of the equity in my company (I am Peyush Bansal. I am the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart. I have come to ask for Rs 1 crore, for 1% equity in my company).”


Namita Thapar, a co-panelist, exclaimed "Woah" when she heard Peyush's proposal, while Vineeta Singh joked that he should give up 75 percent of his company. Aman Gupta reminded him that he, too, was standing in front of investors five years ago, asking for money.

The host of The Kapil Sharma Show recently recited the estimated net worths of the seven "sharks" on Shark Tank India on his show. Peyush, he claims, is worth Rs 37,500 crore.
