Tamil director Arunraja Kamaraj’s wife Sindhuja succumbs to Covid 19

Sindhuja Kamaraj, the wife of Tamil director Arunraja Kamaraj, died of Covid-19 on Sunday (May 16). Arunraja is still in the hospital, but he is improving and responding well to treatment.

Arunraja Kamaraj, a Tamil director, and his wife Sindhuja recently tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Arunraja was reacting well to treatment at a private hospital in Chennai, but his wife succumbed to Covid-19 and died on Sunday (May 16). 

After hearing the news of Sindhuja's death, the Tamil film industry was shocked, and many took to Twitter to express their condolences to the family and share Arunraja's health update.

Celebrities such as Vishal Vishnu, Kayal Devaraj, and Sibi Sathyaraj took to Twitter to express their condolences to the director-lyricist.


Kayal Devaraj offer his condolences to Arunraja’s family and wrote on Twitter, “Director #ArunrajaKamaraj’s WIFE Passed Away Due To #COVID19.”
He wrote, “Lyricist and Actor and Director and Singer #ArunRajaKamaraj who is getting treated for #Covid in a private hospital in Chennai. He is responding well to the treatment. He is stable. He may be discharged soon”.



Vishnu Vishal, who recently got married to Jwala Gutta, offered condolences to the family. He wrote, “#Rip Sindhu... Heartfelt condolences @Arunrajakamaraj.. May God give you and your family the strength to overcome this unbearable loss.”

Sibi Sathyaraj also offered his heartfelt condolences to the family and wrote, “My deepest condolences to @Arunrajakamaraj bro and his family.Really sorry for your loss.Stay strong brother.”


Actress Aathmika also took to Twitter to pray for a speedy recovery for Arunraja and wrote, “No words @Arunrajakamaraj sir. Praying for your speedy recovery.”

In the Tamil film industry, Arunraja Kamaraj has worked as a singer, lyricist, producer, and director. In Raja Rani, he made his acting debut, and in Rajinikanth's Kabali, he wrote and performed the song Neruppu Da.
