Team India cricketer Virat Kohli is loved by the majority of Indians. Courtesy of his cricketing prowess and bringing honor to the country, Virat Kohli today is not only a name but a brand. Apart from cricket, Virat Kohli is also known for his lavish businesses which include the clothing line Wrogn, restaurant One 8 Commune, and many more. On Saturday, Virat Kohli was subjected to criticism after a Tamil man made a video of himself accusing the One 8 Commune management of evicting him from Virat Kohli's Mumbai restaurant just because he was wearing a Dhoti and a Kurta, Veshti to be exact.

In the viral video, the Tamil man claimed, "This is Mr. Virat Kohli's restaurant in Juhu, Mumbai....After reaching the restaurant, the incident which I faced was not only disappointing but also hurt me a lot.  After checking in at JW Marriott Juhu, I eagerly rushed to One 8 Restaurant which belongs to Virat Kohli as I am a very big fan of him. Despite wearing high-grade attire..the management of the restaurant refused to admit me inside stating that this attire is out of their dress code. With great disappointment, I am going back. I doubt whether he will take action on this incident. Hope such an incident doesn't occur again."

Notably, as soon as the Tamil Man One 8 Commune Video went viral on social media, netizens expressed their opinion. While many slammed the Tamil man for tarnishing Virat Kohli's name, others expressed disappointment from Team India cricketer's restaurant management.

A user wrote, "If its true then its very unfortunate @imVkohli know your people know your fans and know your customers. Also its shocking to know that still we are following some baseless rules like this. India is diversed subcontinent and it got independence from British."

Another user wrote, "@imVkohli - This is really bad, disrespecting Tamilnadu traditional attire."Clothes do not hold intrinsic value but people do. Respect people not clothes" Very worst."

"@imVkohli when torn jeans and trousers are considered culture and an actual cultural dress in not. New India I think." wrote another user.

A Virat Kohli fan backed him and wrote, "Virat is not responsible for what happened, the staff present there at that time is responsible. This problem could have been solved by informing the manager there but then how do you get reach on social media."

"Kohli is the security guard? Don't tag him," wrote another user.
