In the latest development of Tarn Taran Rocket Propelled Grenade attack, Punjab government is continuously trying to release production warrants for close associates of wanted gangster Lakhbir Landa who is presently in Canada. Along with this, a CCTV video is also doing rounds which shows the attackers sitting at a Dhaba and conversing with each other before the attack.
Reportedly, the planning for RPG attack in Tarn Taran was carried out by gangsters locked up inside the Goindwal Jail. These gangsters acted as henchmen of Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Randa. Till now, Punjab Police have brought 6 people on production warrant regarding the case. These 6 also include Manpreet Manna who was arrested for murdering a cloth merchant in Tarn Taran. As per information, four people have got arrested in this case. No further information is being shared by police officials.
The Intelligence agencies have received information that 4 RPGs arrived in India out of which two were used in Mohali as well as Tarn Taran attack. Punjab Police is trying its level best to find the unused ones so that no unrest is created in the state using those. With the help of CCTV police are trying to identify the accused.
Reportedly, it was on 12th December 2022 when the information surfaced that aanjh Kendra was attacked with a rocket launcher. Reportedly, windowpanes, glass of the outpost and police booth got smashed during the attack. While many security agencies were claiming it to be a terrorist attack.
