Tarn-Taran: 17-year-old boy dies of suspected drug overdose, villagers complain of 'drug sale'

A 17-year-old boy from Tarn Taran district ‘Munda’ village died after allegedly injecting drugs on Monday. The victim is said to be the only son of his parents.

According to reports, the victim’s father tried many times to control his son, but he never listened. The boy was found unconscious. It is said that he took the drug and after that he died tragically.

The family said that people from nearby village come usually to their village to buy drugs. It is easily available in their village. Both the parents and villagers are blaming the government for their loss.

Reportedly, one of the villagers said, “It’s been more than one year but nothing has changed. It is all because of the government that drugs are being sold so easily. People are getting into drugs, there is no age barrier”. This is another incident which has been reported in this month from Tarn Taran. Two days ago, drug dealers were arrested with commercial quality of Heroine, including intoxicated medicines and drugs by the district police.
