Tata Motors has launched the EV model for Tata Tiago in the Indian market. It has been launched for the first 10,000 customers at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Its price ranges from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Making it the cheapest EV in the country boasting of an impressive range of 300KM. With this launch, the automobile giant has now unveiled EVs in all three segments, SUVs, Sedans, and hatchbacks. Consolidating Tata’s position in the EV segment.

Complete list of the available variants with prices:

• Tata Tiago EV XE variant, with 19.2kWh battery at Rs 8.49 lakh

• Tata Tiago EV XT variant, with 19.2kWh battery at Rs 9.09 lakh

• Tata Tiago EV XT variant, with 24kWh battery at Rs 9.99 lakh

• Tata Tiago EV XZ+ variant, with 24kWh battery at Rs 10.79 lakh

• Tata Tiago EV XZ+ Tech Luxury Variant, with 24kWh battery at Rs 11.79 lakh

Talking about the powertrain, Tata's latest EV will get the option of two battery packs - 24 kWh and 19.2 kWh. The 24 kWh battery pack will give a range of 315 km while the 19.2 kWh battery pack will give a range of 250 km.

The motor of the long-range version can generate 55kW or 74bhp power and 115Nm of torque while the motor of the short-range version can generate 45kW or 60bhp power and 105Nm of torque. The company claims that it can achieve 0 to 60 KMPH in just 5.7 seconds.

At the same time, apart from this, four charging options have been given in the hatchback. It can be charged from a 15A socket, 3.3 kW AC charger, 7.2 kW AC home charger, and DC fast charger. The battery can be fully charged in a meager 3 hours and 36 minutes with the 7.2kW AC charger.

Whereas, with a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes. The company is giving a warranty of 8 years and 1.6 lakh kilometers on the battery pack.
