The Telangana doctor was forced to consume cold drink laced with liquor before the crime took place, as per top police sources. The sources have revealed that the accused bought a bottle of whiskey, mixed it in a cold drink and forced the Hyderabad-based veterinary surgeon to consume it before committing the crime.

The Telangana veterinary surgeon's charred body was found on Thursday morning under a culvert in Chatanpally on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. All the four accused were nabbed from their houses on Friday by the Cyberabad Police. They have been sent to judicial custody.

The top police sources revealed that all the four accused purchased one and a half bottle of whiskey, some snacks and a cold drink from Tondupally village, close to the Shamshabad toll plaza. All the accused were drunk at the time of the crime, the police sources said.

"The four accused purchased one and a half bottle of whiskey some snacks and a cold drink from Tondupally village close to the toll plaza and were drunk at the time of the offence," top police sources said.

"They raped the girl. She died because of accused had covered her mouth and nose during the crime," the Cyberabad police commissioner said. The accused then purchased petrol and burnt the victim's body.

After committing the crime, Mohammad Areef, the prime accused in the Telangana doctor rape and murder case, dropped the other accused near Aramghar X roads and went to his home in Narayanpet.

During the investigation, the toll plaza employees informed the police about a lorry park near the open plot close to the toll plaza. The police also questioned a truck owner, Srinivas Reddy from Rajendranagar who led them to the main accused, Areef and co-accused Shiva.

While Mohammad Areef, the prime accused, worked as a driver, the other accused - Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen, and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu - worked as cleaners. All the accused were on Friday nabbed from their houses.

They had purposely parked their truck beside the scooter of the victim, blocking the view from the main road and the toll plaza. The police also said that all the accused are school dropouts and childhood friends.
