India and Pakistan recently announced a ceasefire, but now this situation has taken another drastic turn as Pakistan has once again started the provocative activities across the border. The situation has again intensified in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Saturday night, Pakistan started heavy shelling in several areas, violating the ceasefire, and notably, various explosions were heard here in the Baramulla district of Kashmir. The authorities have suspected that there is a high chance of a drone attack.

Notably, this ceasefire lasted for just 86 hours, which was initiated at 5 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

According to various reports, the international border at Akhnoor, Rajouri, and RS Pura was targeted by the Pakistani Army. Along with Kashmir, the Palanwala sector of Jammu was also targeted by drones.

To this, Indian forces responded immediately, and the drones were neutralised by the Indian Defense System.

Along with this, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has confirmed that multiple explosions were reported across Srinagar in Kashmir. The officials have also appealed that the civilians must take all possible precautions.

The Decision of Ceasefire -

It should be mentioned here that a ceasefire has now been announced between Pakistan and India. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that at 3:35 pm today, a dialogue between the DGMOs (Director Generals of Military Operations) of both nations was undertaken. It was agreed upon that from 5 pm today, both nations would cease attacks by land, water, and air immediately. So, the ceasefire was initiated. Misri added that on May 12, representatives from the two sides would hold talks on the way forward.
