

A man was killed in a shooting during a Black Lives Matterprotest in the city of Austin in Texas state, authorities said.
According to a report, the incident took place at around 9:52p.m. on Saturday near East Sixth Street and Congress Avenue.
Officer Katrina Ratcliff was quoted saying- "One adultmale victim was located with a gunshot wound. That victim was transported toDell Seton (Medical Center) but was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter".
"Initial reports indicated that the victim may havebeen carrying a rifle and approached the suspect’s vehicle. The Suspect was inthe vehicle and shot at the victim," she added.
The suspect has now been detained.
Live streams of the protest showed the crowds of demonstratorsscreaming and dispersing as shots were fired.
The Austin Police Department said it was still an early andactive investigation and did not release any other information.
