While multiple parts of India and its sub-continent witnessed cyclone Biparjoy, the United States of America too went through a natural calamity- a tornado. On Thursday, Texas and many states of the USA were engulfed into the cloak of a horrific tornado that caused widespread destruction, especially in places like Perryton. As per US media reports, the severe tornado killed at least three people and over 100 people were injured. Not only this, several million Americans across multiple southern and midwestern states were under severe weather alerts as dangerous storms fueled by high temperatures battered the region, bringing tornadoes, thunderstorms and hail the size of golf balls. Now, a day after the tornado, multiple videos are doing rounds on social media which shows how devastating the tornado was.

As per reports, a person in Florida died after being trapped under a tree that fell on their home. Not only tornados, but also flash floods were witnessed in Pensacola, in Escambia County. This led to flooded roadways and high water rescues, the National Weather Service in Mobile, Alabama, reported early Friday. Also in Warrington, just south of Pensacola, more than a foot of rain fell in just three hours, and it was reported that more rain is expected later on thye day. In short, Tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings were in effect in parts of Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Florida.

Perryton Fire Chief Paul Dutcher was quoted by US media portal saying that three people were confirmed dead and an estimated 100 had been treated at local hospitals with minor to severe injuries. Some patients were transferred to trauma centers. Governor Greg Abbott was quoted saying "Texas is swiftly deploying critical emergency response resources to provide all necessary support and assistance to protect Texans and help those impacted by tornadoes in Perryton," including search and rescue teams, medical personnel, and crews aiming to restore electricity and water service.
