In a bid to attract customers, people around the world often come up with the out-of-the-box concept when it comes to setting up businesses. Similar things happen in 'concept' cafes. Cafe owners opt for themes to attract customers as only food may not be enough for people to pay a visit to their cafes. However, there is a thin line between out-of-the-box concept and bizarre. Similarly, a bizarre video of a Thailand cafe is going viral on social media.

Going by the video, the bizarre Thailand cafe enabled visiting guests to sit in ankle-deep water with dozens of koi fish swimming in it.  A video of the cafe called Sweet Fishs Cafe (after the species of the fish), has now gone viral on social media. The eatery became an internet sensation after a Reddit user shared about it a few years ago.

However, the bizarre Thailand fish cafe received massive criticism from environmentalists and animal rights activists. As per reports,  Sweet Fishs Cafe had to be shut down after two months of business due to criticism. Reports further suggest that the bizarre fish case was located in Khanom, Thailand. The Facebook page of the now-closed eatery has several photos of the fish and a hotel staffer sitting on one of the chairs in ankle-deep water.

When the cafe was first started, its owner Yosaphol Jitmung was reportedly quoted by a local media outlet saying that he was inspired by Amix Coffee. He said the idea behind starting the cafe was to allow customers to interact with the fish swimming on the floor. Not only this, Jitmung had emphasized that no one had replicated the design in Thailand, therefore, he went on with the concept.  However, the biggest challenge was to build the filtration system.

The owner had revealed that workers installed four large pool filtration systems that worked 24 hours a day. They also changed the water twice a day. Before they let each customer into the cafe, the staff took customers through a disinfection area to clean their feet.
