'The Great Khali' opens up on why he entered politics ahead of Punjab polls; 'I joined BJP because..'

The Great Khali on Thursday headed to BJP's headquarters in New Delhi and joined the saffron party in the presence of Union Minister Jitender Singh.

WWE Hall of Famer and wrestler 'The Great Khali' AKA Dalip Singh Rana on Thursday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the prominent Punjab Elections. The Great Khali on Thursday headed to BJP's headquarters in New Delhi and joined the saffron party in the presence of Union Minister Jitender Singh. Dalip Singh Rana AKA 'The Great Khali' who is also known to remain active on social media also addressed the media and revealed why he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. 

While speaking to the media after joining the BJP, The Great Khali stated lauded PM Modi and called him the 'right Prime Minister' t lead the country forward. Furthermore, BJP leader The Great Khali stated that he joined BJP because he is influenced by the party's national policy. 

"I'm glad to have joined BJP... I feel that PM Modi's work for the nation makes him the right Prime Minister. So, I thought why not be a part of his governance for the nation's development. I joined BJP after being influenced by BJP's national policy," said The Great Khali aka Dalip Singh Rana. 


About 'The Great Khali'

The Great Khali is remembered for his time with WWE, where he became the World Heavyweight Champion in 2007. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the 2021 class. Meanwhile, he currently runs wrestling academies in Punjab and is likely to be inducted into the party fold of the BJP. Before embarking on his professional wrestling career, he was an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Punjab Police. He has appeared in four Hollywood films, two Bollywood films and several television shows.
